Drum roll please!

This is, I think, the most exciting contest I have ever done to date and I can’t wait to see how creative you all are. Let me give you a little background: Pirate of my Heart is my seventh novel (yay!) and is about a dashing American sea captain, Dorian Colburn (older posts about Dorian here and here) who meets a lovely English rose – Lady Kendra Townsend, who has an uhm, little obsession with hats, (did you see the royal wedding!?!)  For more about the sparks between these two characters go here.

Now that you have an idea about the book, here’s how the contest works: Just email me a hat for Kendra! You can draw it yourself and then scan it or take a picture of it with your phone (or whatever other technology you know to email it to me) or find a hat online. Then send your hat to jamie@jamiecarie.com  with the subject line – A hat for Kendra! Include your name (can be just a first name or whatever name you would like me to use) and I will post all the hats here in the comments section of this post. The contest will close on August 21 at which time a panel of judges at B&H Publishing will decide on the winner. The winner will recieve a signed copy of Pirate of My Heart and a Kindle! The winning hat will also be photoshopped onto Kendra’s lovely head and proudly displayed with the winner’s name on my website for the first week of the book’s release – September 1st – 7th!

Official Rules: The contest will run August 1-22. No purchase necessary to enter, however entrants must submit an image of a hat for Kendra via email account jamie@jamiecarie.com to be considered. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and notified via email by August 31. One entry per person. Must be 18 years or older to enter.
