Dear Reader
In the grip of the French Revolution, the nation of France flows with blood. Christoph`e St. Laurent, the Count of St. Laurent, must flee to the southern border of France and an ancient castle if he has any hope to survive. But the ancient city of Carcassonne proves more than a hiding place. Here he meets a beautiful woman with lips the color of red – a woman named Scarlett. When he learns that she is related to the man who murdered his family, he turns from his love of science and his love for God and chooses revenge. Will Christoph`e learn to trust God again? Will he allow himself to ever love again . . . love his enemy? The Lord’s Prayer may be the only thing that holds the answers to his sanity.
While writing Love’s First Light I was struck with thanksgiving for the beginnings of our country – America. How different our revolution from that of France! In these times of great turmoil in our country, it gives me hope to look at the past, read stories like that of Christoph`e and Scarlett’s and know that God will pull us through with the provisions He has set in place for each of us. My prayer is that Love’s First Light will delight you with its love story, inspire you with its history and affirm the message of trust in God through all our trials
