I love all my book covers! B&H does such a fantastic job capturing the mood of the story with the cover. Which cover do you like the best?

I have just discovered that my latest heroine, Lady Kendra Townsend, loves hats! It’s funny (and so much fun!) how a character continues to develop even during the editing process. When she first meets Captain Colburn (the hero) she is wearing a monsterous purple number with lots of feathers that droop into her eyes. Here are some [...]

Okay, Marie commented on the post below with the suggestion to add Oded Fehr to the list of possible Dorians. After looking him up, I gotta say she has the right idea! He’s definitely a contender!! What do you think?

As authors we are sometimes asked to endorse books and/or seek endorsements from others. I have a question for you today. How important are endorsements on books? If you see a recommendation on the cover by another author that you’ve heard of or read does that impact your decision to buy the book? What if [...]

I love to write to music. I don’t know exactly how it works because you would think the lyrics would get in the way of my words, but they don’t. Music gets me in the mood I need to be in for a particular scene and it always inspires me. Sometimes I have to [...]

Working on my next book and I must say, I am having quite a time with these two characters! It’s old school romance novel sparring and loads of fun! Here’s a short sample of a scene where American Captain Dorian Colburn has escorted his first and only passenger (he was tricked into taking her on [...]

Born in the small, historical town of Vincennes, Indiana, Jamie is the oldest of five children. When she was six, her parents accepted Christ as their Savior, which changed everything. Excited about Jesus, her dad decided to take a giant leap of faith and start a church. Some of her favorite memories are the road trips she used to take with her dad, driving to home Bible studies across southern Indiana where Jim would preach. After a night of teaching and ministry, they would drive home and talk of things beyond earth’s bounds - creation and the fall, God and Jesus and the rapture, the earthly walk compared to the spiritual walk, and how we are born for more than what we can see or touch. The highlight of those nights was stopping at a truck stop where her dad would spend a little of the offering basket on two slices of pie and a couple of Cokes. Nothing ever felt so special as a middle of the night slice of pie with her dad. As Jamie grew closer to God and developed her own relationship with Him, she discovered a heart welling with songs and poetry.

I think my two favorites are the covers for “Snow Angel” and “Love’s First Light.” I loved “Snow Angel” so much, as well as “The Duchess and the Dragon,” and I can’t wait to read my copy of “Love’s First Light.” That cover is so gorgeous iwth the purple colors and the stars!
